KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 10, 2025: Students of Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE) in Karimnagar town celebrated the Sankranthi and National Youth Day on the school premises with enthusiasm on Friday.
Celebrations began with the lighting of lamp and paying floral tributes to the portrait of Swami Vivekananda by Principal Renuka Balivada on the occasion of his 163rd birth anniversary by, which is celebrated on January 12 and observed as National Youth Day in the country.
As part of Sankranthi celebrations, the students participated in various cultural and creative activities. A vibrant Rangoli showcased with intricate designs symbolizing the festive spirit of Sankranthi and a portrait of Swami Vivekananda. A kite-making activity was conducted for Classes 1 to 5, where students crafted colourful kites, reflecting the joy and freedom associated with the festival.
School Chairman Dr Sudhakar Rao Polsani and Director (Academics) Dr T Lalitha Kumari conveyed their heartfelt wishes, emphasizing the significance of these celebrations in fostering cultural values and encouraging students to emulate the virtues of Swami Vivekananda. The event imparted a message of harmony, enlightenment, and the importance of upholding traditions. The celebration was a perfect blend of cultural vibrancy and inspirational learning, leaving a lasting impact on everyone present.
