Alphores School celebrates the Sankranthi festival in the rural way

KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 10, 2025: Students of Alphores Tiny Tots School, Vavilalapalli, Karimnagar, traditionally ushered in Sankranthi festivities by letting their creativity flow with rangoli and traditional patterns and recreating the rural atmosphere on Friday.

The school, which is located amid the concrete jungle of the urban lifestyle, was transformed into a rural setting with huts, bullock-carts, traditional grinding stones, making of delicious sweets and other savouries on traditional firewood kitchens etc.

Girls dressed up in traditional attire while boys donned the garb of Haridasu. The students participated in the painting of floors with colourful rangolies. The students also participated in the planting of paddy nursery saplings in the make-shift fields and kite flying.

Alphores Educational Institutions chairman V Narender Reddy’s father V Malla Reddy participated in the celebrations and encouraged the students and enlightened the importance of Sankranthi festivities. He blessed the children by participating in the Bhogi pallu (a ritual to bless the children) and lit the Bhogi mantalu (bonfire). The students participated in colourful cultural programmes and captivated the audience.
