JAGTIAL, SEPTEMBER 04, 2024: Students associated with NSS and Eco-Club of the Government Degree College for women, Jagtial, have took part in the clay Ganesh idol-making competition on Wednesday to encourage people to worship only eco-friendly Ganeshas during the ensuing Ganesh Chathurthi celebrations.
Creativity was to the fore and the students designed different shapes and sizes of Ganesh idols by using clay. Some other students designed idols by using wheat flour, turmeric, vegetables and other natural material. The eco-friendly Ganesh idols were also displayed at an exhibition.
Principal K Ramakrishna congratulated the students for designed different designs of Ganesh idols by using clay and other eco-friendly material. He asked them to worship these idols at their homes during the festival. NSS programme officers D Sujatha, G Srilatha, N Sangeeta Rani, Eco club coordinator D Sujata , academic coordinator Pramod Kumar, Varaprasad, Vasavi, Ramchandram, Jamuna, Sunita and others were present .
