RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, NOVEMBER 19, 2024: Sri Sharada Peetam of Sringeri peetam guru Sri Vidhushekhara Saraswati Bharati had given his nod for the renovation and development of ancient and historic Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy devasthanam in Vemulawada of Rajanna-Sircilla district on Tuesday.
Following the directions of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, a team headed by Endowments department Principal Secretary Shailaja Ramayyar and other temple officials visited Andhra Pradesh state where Sringeri peetam guru Sri Vidhushekhara Saraswasthi was touring in Vijayawada on Tuesday.
The Principal Secretary and Vemulawada temple officials explained about the proposed renovation and development of the ancient temple shrine and the temple town as per ‘agama sastra’. The Sringeri Peetam guru inspected the maps and expressed satisfaction over the modernization works and gave his nod to start the works. It may be recalled the CM had released Rs 127.65 crore for taking up various developmental works in Vemulawada temple shrine and temple town.
