RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, NOVEMBER 06, 2024: ‘Sri Rama Yantram’, which has embarked on a spiritual journey from Tirupati to Sri Ram mandir in Ayodhya has reached Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam in Vemulawada of Rajanna-Sircilla district on Wednesday.
The gold-plated Yantram, made of panchaloha weighing 180 kg, has been modelled on the lines of an ancient piece enshrined in the Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Mutt’s headquarters at Kanchipuram. Various mantras on Sri Ram and other deities are found embossed on the Yantram. The Yantram was brought from Kanchipuram to Tirupati and will proceed towards Ayodhya in a grand chariot procession, covering a distance of 2,000 km and passing through five States of India.
Sri Rama Yantram will be consecrated at the historic Mahayagnam and performed in Ayodhya. The procession was formally flagged off by Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham’s 70th pontiff Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati at the Kanchi Mutt’s Maha Paduka Mandapam premises about 10 days ago in Tirupati.
The Yantram will be a major attraction at the ‘Sri Maha Narayana Divya Rudra Sahita Satha Sahasra Chandi Vishwa Shanti Maha Yagam’ to be performed by the Chinmayi Seva Trust under the blessings of Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati and in collaboration with Sri Rama Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust at Karsevakpuram from November 18 to January 1 in Ayodhya. More than 1200 Vedic pundits will take part in the puja rituals.
Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy devasthanam authorities accorded a traditional welcome to the ‘Sri Ram yantram’. The temple priests and local BJP leaders led by Prathap Ramakrishna had welcomed the delegation accompanied by the yatra led by Dr Yagnam Pawan Sharma and others. The delegation offered prayers to Lord Shiva and participated in the tying of ox (kode mokku) rituals and also offered prayers to Adi Sankara. The temple authorities presented them with prasadam.
