A total of 850 buses would be operated daily from various destinations of integrated Karimnagar to Medaram
KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 18, 2024: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has formally the operation of special bus services from Karimnagar town to Medaram Samakka-Sarakka jatara on Sunday from the RTC bus station.
RTC regional manager S Sucharita has formally flagged off the bus service from the special Medaram special bus services camp in Karimnagar town. Speaking on the occasion, she said that the special bus services would be operated 24×7 from Sunday to February 25. She said that they were expecting women pilgrims to the Medaram following the free bus facilities under the ‘Maha Lakshmi’ scheme.
For other passengers, the RTC fixed rates as Rs 380 per head for adults and Rs 210 for children from Karimnagar town. From Husnabad bus station Rs 350 for adults and Rs 190 for children, from Huzurabad, Rs 310 for adults and Rs 170 for children, from Peddapalli, Rs 380 for adults and Rs 210 for children, from Manthani, Rs 320 for adults and Rs 180 for children, from 8 Incline colony, Rs370 for adults and Rs 200 for children and from Godavarikhani Rs 370 for adults and Rs 200 for children.
Accordingly, the RTC had made elaborate arrangements such as erection of temporary shelters, queue lines, drinking water, medical assistance etc at the special buses camp. She thanked the ‘Meals on Wheels’ coordinator Ravikanti Krishna Kishore for providing food to the RTC staff, who were deployed for the Medaram jatara special services. A total of 850 buses would be operated from the integrated Karimnagar district to Medaram from various destinations.
She called upon the devotees to utilise the RTC buses for safe journey to reach the close destination at Medaram and offer prayers to the tribal goddesses. Deputy regional manager (operations) S Bhupathi Reddy, DRM (mechanical) K Satyanarayana, Karimnagar one and two depots managers L Mallesham and V Mallaiah, Supervisor Jyothsna, Vijayalaxmi, Kamala, Tirupati, Naseer, Veeraswamy, Anjaiah and others were also present.
