
Addressing a media conference in his camp office at Tirumala on Tuesday evening, the TTD Board Chief briefed on the decisions taken by the Trust Board during the meeting held at Annamaiah Bhavan earlier.
Some excerpts:
-During his recent visit to Bengaluru (for attending Srinivasa Kalyanam) the TTD Chairman has formally met CM of Karnataka Siddharamaiah, and Deputy C,M Siva Kumar. It was decided to build a Srivari temple in the prime location at Bengaluru as soon as the Karnataka government allocates the required land to TTD.
– Union Heavy Industries Minister Kumara Swamy came forward to allocate 100 electric buses to TTD from the Central Government, and steps are being taken to bring the buses to Tirumala soon.
– Decision to allot some space by TTD on a lease basis to the CSIR Lab to be set up by the Central Government in Tirupati. Thus, the quality of ghee, water and food items used can be verified for free.
– Decision to modernise the 73-year-old prestigious TTD-run SV College at New Delhi.
Sought APPSC to stall the recruitment of lecturer posts in TTD. To solve the problem of 200 contract lecturers who have already been working for the past two decades, a three-member committee has been set up as per the instructions of Chief Minister of AP N Chandrababu Naidu, comprising the TTD Chairman, the EO and the AP Minister for Endowments to sort out the issue.
Later, the Chairman also elaborated on the various Dharmic programmes under pipeline by HDPP as a part of spreading Hindu Sanatana Dharma in a big way
Highlights:
– It is proposed to conduct training programs on various Vratams and Pooja procedures in addition to the existing training program in SVETA for the persons hailing from backwards and fishermen communities in the Priesthood.
To train the students of TTD-run schools, in imparting ethical values and personality development through a unique program called ‘Sadgamaya’
-An exclusive program for women by name ‘Saubhagyam’ to be observed in both the Telugu states on the auspicious day of Varalakshmi Vratam on August 08.
– ‘Akshara Govindam’ is an Akshrabhyasa samskaram, which is a part of teaching literacy practices as mentioned in Hindu Sanatana Dharma to children from a tender age by providing a kit with the blessings of Sri Venkateswara.
Besides, programs like ‘Harikatha Vaibhavam’ for sustaining the legacy of Harikatha Parayanam, ‘Bhagavad Gita Anushtana Bodhana’ to provide insight to youth to withstand the challenges that come up in day to day life, a training programme in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada Bhajans through ‘Bhaje Srinivasam’, unique plantation program through ‘Vana-Nidhi’, Srinivasa Kalyanams and other spiritual programs in Tribal areas through ‘Giri Janardhanam’, inculcating the ethical values to lead a righteous path of life among prisoners through ”Sanmargam” have also been contemplated.
