Authorities were sprucing up the temple shrine and making all arrangements for devotees
JAGTIAL, MAY 27, 2024: Stage is all set for the ‘Pedda’ Hanuman jayanthi at historic and ancient Sri Anjaneya Swamy devasthanam in Kondagattu of Jagtial district from May 30 to June 1, 2024.
The authorities have started making unprecedented arrangements at the hill shrine. Expecting arrival of several thousands of devotees (wearing Hanuman deeksha), the temple authorities have been erecting temporary shelters to protect the devotees from sweltering heat wave conditions.
The queue lines were also being constructed to ensure smooth flow of devotees for darshan. The drinking water arrangements were also being made all along the routes of the temple shrine from the foothills. The holy tank has been cleaned and filled up with fresh waters. The temporary toilets and changing rooms for women devotees were also being set up. Vehicles will not be allowed on the ghat road.
The temple shrine is being illuminated with special lighting arrangements and LED screens were also being installed for the benefit of the devotees waiting in queue lines and other parts of the shrine. Sri Ramachandra Swamy devasthanam in Badrachalam and Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy devasthanam authorities would present silk vastrams to Lord Hanuman on his jayanthi celebrations.
Additional Collector (local bodies) TS Diwakar conducted a coordination committee meeting with all the officials concerned and reviewed the arrangements. Instructing the officials to make all arrangements and avoid any inconvenience to the devotees visiting the shrine. The police officials were informed to deploy additional forces for the regulation of pilgrims and movement of vehicles on the roads leading towards the shrine.
The RTC authorities were instructed to operate special buses for the benefit of devotees. The panchayat raj department was entrusted the job of ensuring round the clock sanitation works. Jagtial DSP Raghuchander, RDO Madhusudhan, temple EO Chandrashekhar and others were also present.
