Over 1.21 lakh pilgrims treated at various medical camps in Medaram jatara

MEDARAM (MULUGU DT), FEBRUARY 24, 2024: The medical and health department has won accolades for their relentless services by providing round the clock medical services during the Samakka-Sarakka jatara in Medaram and its adjoining villages where the devotees had arrived to participate in the biennial jatara.

The government had opened a temporary 50-bedded hospital adjoining the main temple shrine, 73 medical camps including 30 around the vicinity of the temple shrine and 42 camps along various routes to the Medaram village.

A total of 1.21 lakh patients treated at the medical camps including 2026 in-patients, 170 referral cases 559 minor injuries, 91 ECGs, 900 diabetes cases. A total of 150 doctors from various districts and 1126 paramedical staff and nine specialist doctors were treating the patients.
