NIRMAL, SEPTEMBER 23, 2024: The Ganesh Immersion procession of the Ganesh idol installed at the SP camp office was conducted on the 17th day of Vinayaka Chathurthi celebrations in Nirmal police headquarters on Monday.
SP Dr G Janaki Sharmila formally launched the immersion procession by offering prayers to the Ganesh idol amid chanting of Vedic hymns and traditional beats. The procession went off smoothly amid police security and the participation of several police officials of the district. The idol was immersed in Bangalapeta Lake on the outskirts of the town.
Earlier, the SP organised the ‘Anna Dhana’ programme at the Ganesh mandap and personally served the food to all the police officials and others.
