KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 12, 2025: Close on the heels of the mini-Medaram jatara of tribal deities Samakka-Sarakka at Medaram village of Mulugu district, the devotees of Karimnagar district have also celebrated the mini-Samakka-Sarakka jatara at Rekurthi in Karimnagar town on Wednesday.
On the auspicious Magha Shudha Pournami, the people celebrated Medarama Samakka-Sarakka jatara in the Karimnagar district. However, the district authorities had failed to make any arrangements for the benefit of the devotees visiting the Samakka-Samakka jatara at the altar in Rekurthi.
BJP leader Durgam Maruthi Nethakani, who visited the shrine and offered prayers, said that the devotees visiting the mini-Medaram Samakka Sarakka site at Rekurthi in Karimnagar town were facing umpteen problems due to the authorities not making any arrangements for the festivities. He found fault with the district authorities for not making any arrangements for the devotees visiting the shrine.’
He said that the devotees did not have even water facilities to at least wash their feet to offer prayers to the tribal deities. Stating that the district authorities have failed to make any arrangements for the devotees visiting the temple shrine, the BJP leader has demanded the government to make permanent arrangements for the devotees visiting Samakka-Sarakka altars in Rekurthi in Karimnagar town.
