Janmashtami celebrations at Tirumala on August 27

Utlotsavam on August 28, TTD cancels Arjita Brahmotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankarana seva

TIRUMALA, AUGUST 25, 2024: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam will celebrate Janmashtami on August 27 (Tuesday) with a Gokulashtami Asthanam fete at the Bangaru Vakili Mukha mandapam in the Srivari temple at Tirumala.

As part of the festivities, Sri Krishna Swami will be seated on the Sarva Bhopala Vahanam at Mukha Mandapam between 8–10 PM. The priests would conduct Ekantha Tirumanjanam to Sri Ugra Srinivasa Murthy, Sridevi, Bhudevi and Sri Krishna Swamy later they would take up Dwadasharadhanam.

On August 28, the traditional ‘utlotsavam’ will be conducted at 4 pm. Sri Malayappa Swamy and Sri Krishna Swamy would be watching the ‘utlotsavam’ by riding on ‘Tiruchi’ on the mada streets of Tirumala. On the occasion of utlotsavam, the TTD has cancelled the Arjitha Brahmotsavms, Sahasra deepalankarana sevas.
