PM meets Jonas Masetti and team, lauds him for his passion towards Vedanta and the Gita
NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 20, 2024: Lauding Jonas Masetti for his passion towards Vedanta and the Gita, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Wednesday remarked that it was commendable how Indian culture is making an impact all over the world. The PM met Jonas Masetti and team after seeing their performance of the Ramayan in Sanskrit at Rio in Brazil.
In a post on X, he wrote:
“Met Jonas Masetti and his team. I had mentioned him during one of the #MannKiBaat programmes for his passion towards Vedanta and the Gita. His team presented glimpses of the Ramayan in Sanskrit. It is commendable how Indian culture is making an impact all over the world.”
Masetti also known as ‘Vishvanath’ is the founder of Vishva Vidya, an organization based in the hills of Petropolis near Rio de Janerio. He teachers Bhagavath Gita, Vedanta, Sanskrit mantras and Vedic culture. He learnt the Indan Vedanta under the guidance of Swami Dayananda Saraswathi in India and returned to Brazil and sharing his knowledge to others.
