TIRUMALA, AUGUST 23, 2024: Lord Venkateshwara Swamy of Tirumala hill shrine is not only the Universal God but also a ‘fashion icon’ for setting trend by wearing heavy jewels and precious diamond studded gold jewels during various puja rituals and processions and festivities at Tirumala shrine.
Every devotee whether rich or poor visits the temple in a simple manner seeking the blessings of Lord Malayappa. But, the Golden boys of Pune viz Sunny Nanasaheb Waghcoure and Sanjay Gujar, who are known for their opulent lifestyle and love for gold, visited the Hill shrine on Friday and offered prayers to the Lord by wearing heavy jewelry.
They came all the way from Pune in their gold car to the Tirumala shrine along with private security. They were seen wearing heavy gold jewelry around their necks and arms. The devotees in the queue line and outside the temple shrine competed to have a glimpse of this rarest moment at the shrine. It is learnt that they were wearing gold jewelry weighing about 25 kilograms. Some others have expressed concern over show-off by the ordinary devotees before the Lord Venkateshwara Swamy that too at his shrine.
