Booklet on Brahmotsavams released
TIRUMALA, SEPTEMBER 07, 2024: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Executive Officer J Syamala Rao announced that the issue of Divya Darshan tokens at Alipiri footpaths will be resume very soon.
Responding to a caller’s suggestion during the monthly ‘Dial Your EO’ conducted on Friday, the EO said they would soon launch the issuance of Divya Darshan tokens at Alipiri Padala mandapam.
The EO said that the TTD is heading towards providing Aadhar-based services to the devotees visiting Tirumala for enhancing transparency in Darshan, Accommodation, Laddus, Srivari seva and obtained from the central government in the first level and a notification regarding the same from the state government is awaited.
He said the TTD has introduced rationalization of Laddus to tokenless or ticketless devotees from August 29 onwards to provide laddu to devotees in a transparent manner. As it was noticed that many middlemen had been involved in the black marketing of laddus for the last few years, to curtail this menace and to ensure that Laddus reach genuine pilgrims, the TTD has decided to issue only two Laddus on the production of Aadhaar Card to the devotees who are void of either darshan token or ticket on payment basis. At the same time, the devotees with Darshan tokens are being provided with unlimited Laddus based on the availability of stock on a payment basis besides one free Laddu.
Following heavy rains and floods in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states and the decline in pilgrims rush at Tirumala, the TTD has distributed over 75,000 laddus outside Tirumala at TTD information centres in Chennai, Bengaluru, Vellore. As there is demand for the Tirumala Laddu prasadam, the devasthanam is planning to provide laddus on a permanent basis at the above TTD Information centres.
The EO said that the National Dairy Development Board has assured the TTD to donate Gas Chromotograph and an HPLC to the TTD lab costing Rs 80 lakhs to verify the sensory parameters of the ghee. To improve the quality of Annaprasadam, a committee was constituted to study and present the procurement process including specifications of commodities and suggest the measures for procurement of Dal, rice, cashew, dry grapes, jaggery etc, Similarly, a committee to check the quality of organic materials procured for Nivedyams has also been constituted.
