HANAMKONDA, DECEMBER 30, 2024; Youth Red Cross Volunteer and Delhi University postgraduate E.V. Satvika marked a significant milestone on her birthday by donating blood for the 10th time at the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Blood Bank in Hanamkonda on Monday.
Her act of kindness was dedicated to children suffering from thalassemia, highlighting her commitment to social service. The event turned celebratory as a cake was cut following the blood donation, marking both Satvika’s birthday and her continued dedication to the cause. In a thoughtful gesture, Satvika later met Hanumakonda District Collector P. Pravinya to present sweets and extend New Year greetings. Collector Pravinya commended Satvika’s contributions and emphasised the Red Cross Society’s efforts to raise public awareness about blood donation.
“The IRCS is encouraging youth participation in blood donation services, a vital step toward community well-being,” the Collector remarked. Reflecting on her journey, Satvika credited her inspiration to her father, social activist E.V. Srinivas Rao. “My father, active in the IRCS activities, has organised numerous blood donation camps and social service programs across the state, motivating the youth to engage in social service. Following his example, I am committed to donating blood and serving society,” she said. IRCS Chairman Dr. Pesaru Vijayachander Reddy, Treasurer B. Papireddy, and permanent members MD Nehal, Rajinikanth, Ravinder, Raju, Shiva and others were present.
