RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, JANUARY 12, 2025: The Vemulawada temple town police have filed a criminal case against former Assistant Executive Officer of Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy devasthanam and on transfer presently working as AEO of Sri Yadagiri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy devasthanam in Yadagirigutta by producing fake and bogus degree certificate to secure promotion.
Following a complaint lodged by temple Executive Officer Vinod Reddy, the Vemulawada police registered a criminal case against the AEO S Harikishan, who had reportedly secured promotion as AEO by securing fake and bogus degree certificate from Lalith Narayan Mithila University, Dharbanga, Bihar state in the year 2001. During the investigation conducted by Vigilance department, it was found that AEO Harikishan had stated that he passed BA (History) degree in the year 2001 from the above said University. The investigations found that he had not taken any leave to write examinations in December 2001.
S Harikishan, the superintendent of the Vemulawada devasthanam, was promoted to Assistant EO by producing the fake degree certificate causing huge financial loss to the devasthanam and cheating the government and misleading the officials as well as the deity and demoralising the status of the famous temple shrine.
