KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 03, 2024: Prajapati Brahmakumaris, Karimnagar, organised a drug awareness camp under ‘Nasha Mukth Bharath Abhiyaan” at Vivekananda Degree and PG college in Karimnagar town on Tuesday. The camp was presided over by Principal Ch Srinivas.
Speaking on occasion, Brahmakumaris Karimnagar district in charge Manisha said: “It has been observed that students start consuming drugs due to stress or unfair expectations. Lack of emotional support and disorder in their families makes them vulnerable and increases their dependency on drugs.” She also called upon the students to use cellular phones judiciously to collect only information.
The Principal called upon the students to discourage the culture of consuming drugs and other addicts as they are the future of the nation. The future should be strong enough to develop the country instead of getting addicted to drugs and spoiling their precious life, he said and called upon the students to participate in social service activities.
The entire college community has taken a pledge towards eradicating drug addiction and promoting a healthier and safer society. NSS programme officers Danapuri Sagar and B Mahesh, ACO B Sampath Kumar, AO B Sravan Kumar and Rameshwar Rao, Brahmakumaris Shresta, Pushpa, faculty members and others were also present.
