Bandi Sanjay demands unconditional apology from BRS leaders for flouting ‘dress code’ at Kaleshwaram temple

KARIMNAGAR, JULY 27, 2024: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has demanded an unconditional apology from the BRS legislators including its working president K Taraka Rama Rao for hurting the sentiments of ‘Hindu’ community by entering into the temple premises of Sri Kaleshwara Muktheeshwara Swamy devasthanam in Kaleshwaram of Mahadevpur mandal by violating the ‘dress code’ on Friday.

Stating that the BRS leaders had entered into the sanctum sanctorum flouting the mandatory ‘dress code’ at the Kaleshwaram temple, Mr Sanjay Kumar said that they hurt the sentiments of the ‘Hindus’ by entering main temple violating the dress code norms. The temple authorities had displayed sign boards to follow the dress code, but the BRS leaders, who mare atheist, have flouted the norms and demanded unconditional apologies for hurting the sentiments, he demanded.

Talking to newsmen in Karimnagar town on Saturday, the Union Minister flayed Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for boycotting the NITI Ayog meeting in New Delhi. Alleging that the Congress party also adopting the same policies of BRS and neglecting the interests of Telangana state, he came down heavily on the State government for passing a resolution in the Assembly against the Centre.

Asking how the State government could pass a resolution stating that the Union government had not given a single rupee while proposing in the State budget that Rs 1.9 lakh crore funds would be adjusted by the Centre, he said this was a ploy to divert public attention from the failure of the Congress to implement its six guarantees. He claimed that the 74 per cent of amount collected under GST in the state was returned to the Telangana state.

He alleged that the the Congress government was conspiring to borrow thousands of crores from merchant banks at higher interest rate by giving commissions to brokers. Stating that this was going to be a huge burden for Telangana people, and added that he wanted to debate the subject in the assembly. BJP leaders G Krishna Reddy, Rani Rudramadevi, Bodige Shoba and others were also present.
