KARIMNAGAR, DECEMBER 13, 2024: Devotional fervour marked the performance of ‘Padi Puja’ by the devotees of Lord Ayyappa at Alphores main campus in Karimnagar town on Friday here coinciding with the ongoing Mandala puja-Makaravilaku pilgrimage season at Sabarimala.
The maha padi puja was performed by priest Chakravarthi Purushothama Charyulu. Alphores Educational Institutions chairman V Narender Reddy and his wife Dr V Vanaja participated in the puja rituals.
“Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa”, rented the air as Deeparadhana was performed to the 18 steps leading to tastefully decorated shrines of Lord Ayyappa flanked by Lord Ganesha, Lord Kumarasamy and Lord Harihara made out of plantain bark at Annavarapadu here late on Friday. ‘Kannisamis’, who have taken up Deeksha for the first time, were the cynosure of all eyes as they danced amid the showering of flower petals to ‘Poolapatta’ during the all-night Bhajans. Traditional oil lamps were lit in rows as part of the observance of rituals associated with ‘Karthika masam.’
