Overwhelming response to Sankranthi Utsavalu conducted by Karimnagar Dairy

KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 12, 2025: There was an overwhelming response to the annual Sankranthi Utsavalu conducted by the Karimnagar Milk Producer Company Limited on the premises of Karimnagar Dairy in Karimnagar town on Sunday.

A total of 587 girl children of the milk producers of the integrated Karimnagar district have participated in the rangoli competitions.  Colourful rangoli patterns made with a variety of materials such as different colours, flower petals, fruits, seeds, dry rice, leaves etc captivated the visitors. The girl students showcased their skill in drawing impressive and colourful patterns on the ground.

Karimnagar Forest officer Balamani was the chief guest and she was impressed to look at the colourful rangolies and the creativity of the girl students. She appreciated the girls for the protection of the Telangana culture and tradition by participating in the rangoli competitions. She also congratulated the Karimnagar Dairy for emerging as the number one dairy in the Telangana state.

Karimnagar Dairy chairman Ch Rajeshwar Rao explained the achievements of Karimnagar over the last two decades and how it made strives with the team efforts and emerged as the number one dairy and providing alternate and regular source of income to the milk-producing farmers. A woman milk-producing farmer Pudari Gangavva from Sangampalli village of Jagtial district was felicitated for emerging as the best woman milk-producing farmer in the state.

Similarly, the Karimnagar Dairy distributed prizes to the best Milk Producing Institutions (MPIs) for the year 2024. The MPI Sundaragiri in Chigurumamidi mandal secured first prize with a daily milk procurement of 1745.9 litres per day, MPI Gambhiraopet in Rajanna-Sircilla secured second prize with a procurement of 1356.9 litres of milk per day, and MPI Nawabpet in Chigurumamidi mandal secured third prize with 1342.1 litres per day.

The Karimnagar Dairy also distributed prizes to the rangoli competition winners. U Saritha from MPI Nukalamarri in Vemulawada mandal secured first prize, A Radhika from MPI Nawabpet in Chigirumamidi mandal secured second prize, P Anuja from MPI Gajulapalli in Manthani mandal secured third prize. The marketing department announced prizes to E Rajitha from Mankammathota in Karimnagar, S Akshara from Gumlapur village in Choppadandi mandal and V Sravanthi of Karimnagar town. Dairy MD P Shankar Reddy, Board of Directors and others were also present.
