KARIMNAGAR, MAY 27, 2025: The Karimnagar One Town police have registered a criminal case against YouTuber for allegedly making objectionable remarks against Prophet Mohammad in a viral video post under sections 196, 299 and 353 (2) of Bharathiya Nyaya Sanhita-2023, on Tuesday.
Following a complaint lodged by Karimnagar district MIM president Syed Ghulam Ahmed Hussain and former ZP co-option member Md Jameeluddin Ahmed and others, the police have registered a case against YouTuber Chiluka Praveen, a resident of Hyderabad. It is stated that the YouTuber, through his channel “U News”, has allegedly disseminated content that is factually incorrect and deeply offensive to the Muslim community.

The Muslim organisations submitted a memorandum to Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam and Karimnagar Town ACP Venkat Swamy demanding stern action against the YouTuber Chiluka Praveen for his video post, which contains inflammatory, false, and derogatory content aimed at inciting communal discord and deeply offending the sentiments of the Muslim community. Specifically, the video includes the following baseless and offensive claims about Prophet Muhammad.
They alleged that the Youtuber had falsely claimed that Prophet Muhammad married 14 times, portraying these marriages in a derogatory and sexually misleading manner to malign his character and falsely asserting that the Prophet married a 25-year-old woman at the age of 90, which is historically inaccurate, as Prophet Muhammad passed away at the age of 63 years.
The Muslim organisations demanded that the police take stern action against the YouTuber and ban the controversial ‘U News’ channel on YouTube. They also demanded an unconditional public apology from Chiluka Praveen for his derogatory comments.
