Three states police top brass meet to share intelligence and check movement of Maoists naxalites on eve of elections

PEDDAPALLI, MARCH 24, 2024: In the wake of ensuing parliament elections, the police top brass officials of Telangana, Maharashtra and Chattisgarh states have conducted a coordination committee meeting to ensure free and peaceful elections in the Naxalite affected of the three states.

The coordination committee was conducted at Gadchirowli SP camp office in Maharashtra state on Saturday. The meeting was organised by Gadchirowli IGP Ankith Goel, which was attended and presided over by Ramagundam Commissioner of Police M Srinivas.

On this occasion, the three states police officials have discussed about the sharing of intelligence to check the movement of Maoists Naxalites and ensure peaceful conduct of elections. They have decided to open integrated check-posts on the borders to check the intrusion of the Naxalites and conduct combing operations in the forests and ensure area dominations to foil the Naxalites bid to enter the three states to commit any offence.
