NIRMAL, JULY 07, 2024: The Nirmal district police have arrested three minors on the charges of killing a youngster from Nizamabad district in Basara a month ago and seized a motorcycle and two mobile phones from their possession.
Disclosing this to newsmen in Nirmal town on Sunday, Superintendent of Police Dr G Janaki Sharmila said that the accused persons had murdered Arjun (20) from Fakirabad in Nizamabad district on June 1 over small issue. The police found that body of the victim at Sharadanagar in Basara. The accused confessed that the victim had abused them for refusing him a lift on their motorbike in an inebriated condition. Later, the accused persons took the victim on their motorcycle to a secluded place and hit him with a huge stick and later bludgeoned to death. They also set fire to the body to erase evidence.
The police collected all scientific evidences and arrested the minors aged between 15 to 17 years and all working in different fast food centres in Basara region. They were arrested on Sunday when they were moving under suspicious circumstances at the railway station.
The SP congratulated the team led by Bhainsa ASP Avinash Kumar and comprising Mudhole Inspector G Mallesh and Basar Sub-Inspector K Ganesh, IT core team Ramakrishna, Srinivas, Narender, Kiran, Rajeshwar and others for the detection of the crime and arrest of the accused persons.
