KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 24, 2024: The Karimnagar Commissionerate of Police have arrested three persons including a minor on the charges of targeting guests attending weddings and other events at various function halls in Karimnagar and stealing their bags and valuables. The police have recovered 15 tulas of gold ornaments from their possession.
Following the complaints of burglaries in various function halls in Karimnagar town, the police have formed special teams to nab the accused persons. Accordingly, the police arrested the main accused Mohammed Rahim, who was working as gym trainer at Bommakal flyover, an autodriver driver Maisan Bin Hadi and 12-year-old minor boy.
Rahim developed friendship with 12-year-boy who used to visit the Ammanish centre for swimming purpose. They both decided to make fast money with ease. They roped in auto driver Bin Hadi. The auto driver and minor boy used to visit the function halls. The minor go inside the hall and collect the valuables kept negligently by the visitors. Rahim used to stay outside the function hall with his bike.
As soon as the minor boy comes out with valuables, Rahim and the minor used to escape on the bike. They had committed offences in Karimnagar, Bommakal, Alugunur and Huzurabad function halls. The LMD police have arrested Bin Hadi and the minor boy when they were proceeding to Warangal and recovered four grams of gold ornaments, two cellular phones, a laptop computer and a bike.
The police formed special teams to nab the main accused Rahim. When the main accused was planning to leave the Karimnagar town and reached the bus station complex, the police arrested Rahim at ZP office and recovered 15 tulas of gold ornaments and two cellular phones.
