Seven burglars arrested, property worth Rs 11.72 lakhs recovered

MANCHERAL, MAY 25, 2024: The Ramagundam Commissionerate of Police have arrested seven-member burglars gang and recovered stolen property of gold, silver, two-wheeler, LED TV, Home theatre, Guitar and others all worth Rs 11.72 lakhs from their possession.

Disclosing this to newsmen in Mancherial town on Saturday, Ramagundam Commissioner of Police M Srinivas said that the Mancherial police have arrested Pagidi Karthik (19), Tatikonda Swamy Charan (19), Puppala Rahul (19), Gannaram Madhukar (20), Kursinga Eshwar (20), Madavi Ramu (22) and Vedma Praveen (2). The police recovered Rs 9.22 lakh gold ornaments, Rs 60,000 worth silver ornaments, Rs 50,000 worth bike, LED TV and Home theatre worth Rs 1.2 lakh and a guitar worth Rs 20,000.

He said that the accused burglars used to conduct recee during the morning hours and identify the locked houses in Mancherial, Hajipur, CCC Naspur police station limits and commit offence of breaking the latch with an iron rod. They used to sell the stolen property and enjoy with the booty amount.

Accordingly, they had planned to sell away the stolen property in Karimnagar and met at the residence of Tatikonda Swamy Charan alias Munna. Following the information, the Ramakrishnapur police station officials rushed to spot and nabbed the accused. During the interrogation, they had confessed of committing the offences to lead a lavish life. On this occasion, the CP presented cash rewards for the police personnel involved in the arrest and recovery of stolen property. Mancherial ACP R Prakash and others were also present.
