RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, MARCH 12, 2024: Unable to get employment and ill-health, a powerloom weaver had reportedly committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling in his house on Monday late night.
Sources said that powerloom weaver Thadaka Srinivas, a resident of Baddam Yellareddy Nagar, resorted to this extreme act following unemployment in the Sircilla textile town due to non-availability of government bulk orders. Besides, he was also suffering from health related issues. He is survived by his wife Lavanya and two daughters Anusha (18) and Akshaya (16).
Sources also said that Srinivas was addicted to liquor and suffering from health ailments. Unable to bear his torture, the wife and children were staying separately for the last seven years. He was unable to get employment to purchase medicines and committed suicide on Monday night.
