KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 16, 2024: In an early morning swoop down, the Karimnagar Commissionerate of Police have raided the Prathima Regency hotel in Karimnagar town and reportedly seized Rs 6.65 crore cash in the wee hours of Saturday.
Following credible information, the police formed into special teams and raided the hotel at around 1.30 am and continued the checking of each and every location and recovered Rs 6.65 crore cash. The checking were still being continued and further details are awaited.
Incidentally, the Prathima hotel belongs to the relatives of BRS candidate from Karimnagar parliament constituency B Vinod Kumar, who usually operates his political activities and other meetings from this hotel only. The surprise raid on the hotel and seizure of cash even before the announcement of election schedule on Saturday afternoon had become hot topic of the district.
