
HYDERABAD, JUNE 08, 2025: BRS Jubilee Hills legislator Maganti Gopinath (62) died at the AIG in Gachibowli in Hyderabad while undergoing treatment for a heart ailment on Sunday.
Mr Gopinath was admitted on June 5 at 2.56 pm after suffering a massive heart attack. The doctors, after providing CPR, restored the heartbeat and put him on the ventilator and provided treatment. He was also suffering from a kidney-related ailment, after undergoing surgery a couple of months ago.

On the other hand, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Union Minister and BJP state president G Kishan Reddy, BRS working president K Taraka Rama Rao and others condoled the demise of the Jubilee Hills legislator, who had performed a hat-trick by winning continuously in 2014, 2018 and 2023. He was first elected as a legislator on the TDP ticket in 2014, and later he shifted his loyalty to BRS.
The BRS working president said that the last rites of Maganti Gopinath would be performed between 3 pm and 4 pm on Sunday at Jubilee Hills Mahaprasthanam as per the wishes of the bereaved family. The final journey will commence as a rally.
Calling it the loss of a ‘brother’, Rama Rao described Gopinath as a gentle and kind-hearted soul. He thanked the State government for stepping in to make the necessary arrangements for the final journey.
