PEDDAPALLI, MARCH 19, 2024: The Task Force personnel of Ramagundam Commissionerate of Police have raided a gambling den and arrested 10 persons and recovered Rs 14.48 lakh cash and 10 cell phones and other material such as playing cards from their possession.
Disclosing this to newsmen in Godavarikhani on Tuesday night, Commissioner of Police M Srinivas said following the information about the gambling in a mango grove in Asnad village of Chennur police station limits, the Task force police personnel raided the premises and arrested the 10 gamblers and cash worth Rs 14.48 lakhs.
The organisers have formed into a team and conducting gambling clandestinely in the mango groves in the village. They had also deployed sentries to check the intrusion of any strangers and alert the gamblers to escape. The Task force police have raided the den with meticulous planning and arrested 10 gamblers.
The arrested include; D Bapu (48), Mancherial, A Tirupathi (46) Nagaram village Chennuru, B Latchaiah Nagara, Chennuru mandal, K Venkateshwar Rao (55), Godavarikhani, B Shankar (57), Mancherial, G Santosh (42) Warangal, P Rajender (40), Peddapalli, J Srinivas, Rebbena, B Srinivas (44) Godavarikhani and D Nagesh (40), Naspur.
