KARIMNAGAR, JULY 10, 2024: The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB) Karimnagar district unit has launched a campaign against the drug abuse at Alphores junior college main campus, Vavilalapalli, Karimnagar town, on Wednesday.
Participating as chief guest, TGANB Karimnagar ACP Upender stressed the importance of educating young minds about the ill-effects of drug addiction. He said that the district administration would engage with educational institutions and communities to raise awareness that aligns with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s vision for a drug-free Telangana.
Expressing concern over drugs entering the campus of engineering and medical colleges, he called upon the students to desist from the drugs and focus on their bright career. He also administered an anti-drug oath to the students and encouraged them to share information on drugs by sending message to TGANB on 8712671111 and their confidentiality is ensured.
Inspector Krishna Murthy said that the ganja had spread to the rural areas also. He said that the youth were spoiling their health and career by getting addicted to drugs. Alphores educational institutions chairman V Narender Reddy called upon the students to focus on their bright career and instead getting attracted to drugs. Three town inspector John Reddy, Alphores college principal Ch Rajesham and others were also present.
