MANCHERIAL, JUNE 08, 2024: The Mancherial district police have arrested a house burglar and seized stolen properties of 2.5 tulas of gold and 15 tulas of silver ornaments worth Rs 2.44 lakh from his possession on Saturday.
Following the incidents of house burglaries during the night time in Hajipur and Luxxettipet police station limits of Mancherial district and Jagtial district, Ramagundam Commissioner of police M Srinivasulu instructed the police to nab the accused person.
Accordingly, Mancherial DCP Ashok Kumar under the supervision of ACP R Prakash had constituted a special teams with Mancherial Rural Inspector Ashok and Hajipur SI Suresh to nab the accused person. On Saturday, the police nabbed the accused person K Yesubo alias A Suresh Reddy (41) of Khammam district when he was moving in suspicious circumstances at Gudipet on the way to Yellampalli project.
During interrogation, the accused confessed of the crime and informed that he handed over the stolen gold and silver to goldsmith M Rahul in Khanapur, Kelapur taluq in Adilabad district. The Hajipur police recovered the stolen property worth Rs 2,44,660 from the goldsmith.
