TIRUMALA, AUGUST 03, 2024: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Executive Officer J Shyamala Rao has appealed to the devotees to follow the allotted time slots on Special Entry Darshan (SED) and Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) tokens to avoid unnecessary waiting in Tirumala.
In a statement here on Saturday, the EO said that several thousands of devotees were arriving for the darshan much earlier than the allotted time slots on their SSD tokens and SED tokens and they were forced to wait for long hours. The TTD is allowing the devotees to enter the darshan queue lines only on their allotted reporting time specified on their tokens or tickets from the past few days, he stated.
But, still, many of the devotees are coming to Tirumala, much earlier and facing the hardships of waiting outside, he stated and appealed to the devotees to follow the time slots unscrupulously to avoid the long waiting. “We are already making announcements in all five languages including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and English for the information of the pilgrims in Tirumala. We will soon launch the announcement at Tirupati Railway station and Bus stand also for the information of the devotees in a few days”, the EO said. He said that the devotees can visit other temples in Tirupati or visit spiritual places in Tirumala instead of waiting outside the queue lines.
Free Darshan Tokens
The TTD has stated that the Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) tokens will be issued daily from 2 am onwards at Vishnu nivasam opposite railway station, Srinivasam opposite bus station at Tirupati and Bhudevi complex near Balaji bus stand, Alipiri.
The Srivari Mettu tokens are issued daily from 6 am at 50th step and scanned then tokens at the 1250th step after scanning the token only the devotees are allowed for darshan (per day 2,500 to 3,000 tokens are available).
For ticketless free darshan
The devotees can enter the line at Krishnateja circle at Tirumala for regular ticketless free darshan.
