
HYDERABAD, MAY 31, 2025: Miss Thailand Opal Suchata Chuangsri was crowned Miss World 2025 at the 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, at a grand finale, on Saturday. The winner was crowned by Miss World 2024 Krystyna Pyszková, marking the culmination of weeks of cultural exchange, competition and celebration.
The first runner up was from Ethiopia, the second runner up from Poland and the third runner up from Martinique. The Miss World had won the prize money of Rs 8.5 crore. It may be recalled that Miss World Opal Suchata had been crusading against cancer in Thailand.

Hosted by former Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle and Indian television personality Sachiin Kumbhar, the grand finale brought together 108 contestants from around the globe. The top contestants had advanced through a series of fast-track events such as the Head to Head Challenge, Top Model, Beauty with a Purpose, Talent, Sports, and Multimedia, before being narrowed down to 40 quarterfinalists, then a Top 10 in each continental group, followed by the Top 5, Top 2, and finally, one crowned winner. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Megastar Chiranjeevi graced the function.

The Minister conveyed special appreciation to the Miss World Organization, the participants from across the globe, officials, and all delegates who played a key role in making the event a memorable celebration of beauty, culture, and international harmony.
He also congratulated the winner of Miss World 2025, appreciating her remarkable poise, talent, and inspiring presence throughout the competition.
The Minister further thanked all the teams, departments, and supporters behind the scenes for their dedication and seamless coordination, which helped showcase Telangana’s hospitality and cultural vibrancy to the world.
He stated that Telangana remains committed to hosting global events that promote cultural exchange and position the state as a premier international destination.
