HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 23, 2024: The Telangana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights on Monday has suo moto taken up the news reports published in Telugu dailies stating that Telugu Choreographer Shaik Jani Pashs popularly known as Jani master on the charges of sexually assaulting a minor choreographer.
In an official release here on Monday, Commission chairperson J Srinivasa Rao said that the Telangana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights is a statutory body constituted under the Act of Parliament (Commissions for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005) and mandated to ensure that all laws, policies, programs, administrative mechanisms and procedures of the governments align with the child rights perspective as enshrined in the Constitution of India and to monitor the implementation of – JJ Act,20l5, POCSO Act, 2012 and RTE Act,2009.
The Commission has responded to the news items published in Andhra Jyothi & Eenadu Daily Newspapers dt:17 .09.2024 regarding the sexual abuse of a minor girl by Jani Master in the year 2019. The Commission understands that the case has been registered by Narsingi PS of Rangareddy District. The Commission views the “matter seriously and takes it as Suo Motu. Therefore, the Commission directed the Collector & District Magistrate, Rangareddy District to enquire into the matter and take necessary action.
