HYDERABAD, JANUARY 02, 2025: “Movies are one of life’s greatest pleasures”. You sit with a pile of salty popcorn, turn off the light, and dive into someone else’s universe without leaving your place. For a couple of hours, you laugh, and you cry!
Students at The Play School, Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, had a Popcorn Party-Movie Time arranged for the children. The little ones gathered and a carefully selected, age-appropriate film. “Leo and Tig”- a funny family animated movie was played. They were transported to a true theatre-like experience.
The purpose of making the children watch the movie is to spend time with friends, have fun, entertainment, and stress relief. The children were excited as they waited for the movie to start. It’s a belief that movies can be enjoyed better when accompanied by popcorn. With endless popcorn, the kids had all the fuel they needed to enjoy the film to the fullest. The smiles and giggles were our biggest rewards! The students’ enthusiasm and joy brought so much life to our gathering.
Teachers play a pivotal role during these sessions, facilitating meaningful conversations and reinforcing the educational aspects of the movies. It was a magical sight to see their faces light up with delight as they immersed themselves in the movie’s world. They could understand and take home learning. Watching such movies helps them resolve the problems and challenges they face in life by building self-confidence as they relate themselves to the characters of the movies. Overall, the day ended on a happy note with lots of learning carried home.
The principal of the school Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari wishes children Happy New Year and said that Let’s make a promise to ourselves to be kind, honest, and respectful to others, just like the heroes in our favorite movies.Enjoy the movie, and let’s make this year an amazing one!”
As the credits rolled and the movie ended, the Pre-Primary Movie Day left a lasting impression on our little movie enthusiasts. The event not only provided them with a day of entertainment but also fostered their creativity, imagination, and social skills. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to bond with their peers, share their thoughts and emotions, and create cherished memories they will carry with them for years.
