

HYDERABAD, OCTOBER 29, 2024: New Government Degree College for Women, Golconda, in collaboration with My Choices Foundation, observed Domestic Violence Awareness Month with a series of impactful events promoting awareness and empowering women.


The highlight was the screening of a documentary film on domestic violence and gender equality, sparking a thought-provoking discussion among students and faculty.

Dr. Farzana Khan, Programme Coordinator, and Alia Khan, Assistant from My Choices Foundation, distributed certificates and prizes to the winners of the poster-making and poetry-writing competition on Tuesday.
College Principal, Professor T. Sreelakshmi, emphasized, “Educational institutions must address social issues like domestic violence, promoting empathy and encouraging students to become agents of change.” NSS Coordinator, Dr. Humera Sayeed, staff, and students actively participated.
