BADRACHALAM, MARCH 11, 2024: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy along with Deputy CM Batti Vikramarka, Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Tummala Nageshwar Rao and Uttam Kumar Reddy and others launched the prestigious Indiramma Housing Scheme in Bhadrachalam temple town on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that he was very much delighted to launch the Indiramma housing scheme for poor in the presence Lord Sri Rama in the temple town of Bhadrachalam. The objective of launching the Indiramma housing scheme is to fulfill the dream of owning a house by all poorer sections. Under the scheme, government will distribute house pattas in the name of women. The Government already sanctioned 4,50,000 Indiramma houses at the cost of Rs.22,500 crore.
He alleged that former CM K Chandrashekhar Rao sought votes in the name of double bedroom houses and deceived people in the last 10 years. People have buried KCR regime and elected the “Indiramma Rajyam”, he pointed out. The Congress party and Khammam district are maintaining special bond. It is the reason the government launched Indiramma housing scheme from the old Khammam district, he stated.
Government is already providing LPG cylinder at Rs 500 and also free bus travel to women in the RTC buses, 200 units of free power is also being supplied to the beneficiaries, he said and added that under Indiramma housing scheme, government will provide Rs 5 Lakh financial assistance to build houses in their own housing plots. The houses will be sanctioned to all deserving poorer sections.
He dared the former CM to seek votes in the villages where double bed houses were sanctioned. Congress will seek votes in the villages where Indiramma houses are constructed for poor, he added. He also demanded the BJP to disclose the details of the houses sanctioned to the poor in Telangana state.
Earlier, the Chief Minister offered prayers at Sri Seetha Ramachandra swamy temple. He was accorded traditional welcome by the temple priests.
