HYDERABAD, MARCH 22, 2024: The speculations are rife that popular Telugu film heroine ‘Bahubali’ actress Anushka Shetty is all set to enter politics in the Andhra Pradesh state by contesting from the Nagari assembly constituency against the film actor and Minister RK Roja.
Actress Anushka Shetty would be the Jana Sena Party candidate and fight against YSRCP candidate Roja in the ensuing Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, the sources said. During the 2019 elections, Roja has secured 80,333 votes and won the elections from Nagari segment by TDP candidate Gali Bhanu Prakash, who secured 77,625 votes.
The sources said that Jana Sena Party president and film Actor Pawan Kalyan and TDP National President N Chandrababu Naidu have decided to rope in glamourous queen Anushaka Shetty into politics by offering the party ticket from Nagari segment on behalf of Jana Sena party.
However, it is not yet clear about whether Anushka Shetty would be contesting the elections or not. The sources said that Anushka had never ever talked about the politics or plans to enter election fray. But, the rumour mills are going round saying that Anushka was the right candidate to fight against another actress Roja from Nagari assembly segment.
But, the official confirmation is yet to arrive as neither Anushka nor Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan had made any announcement in this regard.
