2K run to create awareness on financial literacy conducted in Karimnagar

KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 27, 2024: As part of the week-long Financial Literacy Week 2024 with the theme of ‘Make a Right Start, Be Financially Smart’ from February 26 to March 1, a 2K run was organised by Lead District Bank with the participation of all the bank officials, students and others in Karimnagar town on Tuesday.

DRO Pawan had formally flagged off the 2K run from the Collectorate office complex along with LDM Anjaneyulu, Municipal Commissioner Srinivas, UBI DGM Aparna, Karimnagar DCCB CEO N Satyanarayana Rao, DCCB general manager Prabhakar Reddy, TGB AGM Prabhu Das, district officers Nagarjuna, Padmavathi, Ram Babu, Srikanth Reddy and others were also present.

All the participants wearing special T shirts and caps carrying posters participated in the 2K run from Collectorate to Indira Chowk and returned back to Collectorate complex. Speaking on the occasion, LDM Anjaneyulu emphasised on giving special importance on financial literary among the youth.

Accordingly, the posters were released on Monday. Earlier, the LDM had conducted an essay writing competitions for the students of various educational institutions. The RBI would decide the winners of the competitions and announce a prize of Rs 2,000 to each winner and also appreciation certificate. A financial literacy camp would be organised on February 29, the LDM stated.

He also said that the online financial literacy quiz for students would be held from February 26 to March. The students can log in www.ncfe.org.in to participate in the online quiz. The participation certificates for all the participants would be given.
