Union Minister Bandi Sanjay inaugurates the function hall and shopping complex of PACS in Bejjanki mandal

SIDDIPET, JANUARY 21, 2025: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has formally inaugurated the function hall and shopping complex of the Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (PACS) in Bejjanki mandal headquarters of Siddipet district on Tuesday.

The Union Minister along with Manakondur MLA Dr Kavvampalli Satyanarayana, MLC T Bhanu Prasad Rao, PACS Chairman Tanneru Sharath Rao and others attended the programme. The function hall and shopping complex were constructed for Rs 3 crore as part of the Multi-Service Centre (MSC).

Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister said that thethe
central government was providing Rs 6,000 per month to over 30 lakh farmers in the state under the Kisan Samman Nidhi programme and depositing the amount in their bank accounts. He said that the Union government had provided a subsidy of Rs 30,000 crore on fertilizers for the farmers of Telangana state. He said that the Union government had taken all measures to avoid the shortage of fertilizers and provided a subsidy of Rs 2,236 on each fertilizer bag.

Referring to the former sarpanches numbering around 12,769 in the Telangana state, the Union Minister said that the former sarpanches were burdened with over Rs 1300 crore. Each former sarpanch was burdened ranging from Rs 5 lakhs to Rs 1 crore for taking up development works in the villages including Palle pragathi, rythu vedika, Vaikunta damam, Dumping yard, Palle prakruthi vanam, community halls, haritha vanam, CC roads, and more. He urged the state government to release the pending bills of former sarpanches.
