KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 22, 2024: One-day training programme on “Business Development and Assets Management for FPO Cooperatives” was organised by the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC)’s LINAC Regional training centre at Karimnagar District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) main office in Karimnagar town on Friday.
The training programme was inaugurated jointly by District Cooperative Officer Ramanujacharyulu, KDCCB CEO N Satuanarayana Rao and NCDC Regional Director Vamshikrishna Dubasi and addressed the participants that FPOs under the Central Sector Scheme are formed to enhance member farmers income by taking up value-addition activities by FPOs. PACS development centre resource person G Satyanarayana was also present.
NCDC Regional Director Vamshi Krishna Dubai said that the organization has been instrumental in providing financial assistance to cooperatives functioning in agriculture and allied sectors for their business and infrastructure development activities ranging from grass root level cooperatives to state level cooperative federations. He also said that the Government of India is providing Equity Grant of up to Rs.15 lakh and FPO Management cost of Rs.18 lakh for a period of 3 years for sustainable functioning of FPO formed under the scheme.
The training programme was attended by Board of Directors, Employees of Farmer Producer Cooperatives formed under the Central Sector Scheme – Formation and Promotion of 10,000 FPOs at Karimnagar DCCB. The training program was attended by about 30 participants from FPOs of Huzurabad, Jammikunta, Manakondur, Choppadandi of Karimnagar district and Kondapaka, Dubbaka, Chinnakoduru and Narayanraopet mandals of Siddipet district.
