KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 11, 2025: The six-day grand Swadesh Jagaran Manch was formally inaugurated at the sprawling Dr BR Ambedkar stadium in Karimnagar town on Tuesday.
The six-day event will be conducted from February 11 to 16, 2025 wherein more than 210 stalls were set up to showcase indigenous goods. Karimnagar Dairy Chairman Ch Rajeshwar Rao, who is also convenor of the Swadesh Jagaran Manch, has formally inaugurated the programme by offering prayers. Swadesh Jagaran Manch convenor Mukka Harish Babu, co-convenors Gampa Venkat and Kallam Vasudeva Reddy, Indian Red Cross Society Karimnagar district leader U Radhakrishna and others were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Swadesh Jagaran Manch convenor M Harish Babu said that they had opened ‘udyoga mahotsav’ stalls at the mela to help secure employment by the unemployed youth. Over 110 companies have set up their stalls and the first itself over 6,000 youth have registered for securing jobs with various companies. The Vemulawada Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy devasthanam’s Prachara ratham was also deployed at the mela for the benefit of devotees.
Swadesh Mela Co-convenor Kallam Vasudeva Reddy said that they would be conducting a workshop for the polytechnic and engineering students at the mela on Wednesday which will be graced by Karimnagar PTC Superintendent Srinivas Sunkara, former DRDO director Satish Reddy, and others will also attend. He said that they would conduct cultural programmes daily in the evening from 6 pm to 9.30 pm.
