KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 15, 2024: A team of officials from West Bengal, Odisha, Haryana, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states visited the Karimnagar District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) in Karimnagar town on Tuesday as part of a NABARD initiative to get exposure to the best practices implemented in Karimnagar DCCB.
The visiting team led by BIRD Lucknow inspected the Choppadandi and Sultanabad PACS and later visited the Karimnagar DCCB in Karimnagar town. On this occasion, they inspected the main office administration block and the main branch and inquired about the various services being provided to the customers.
Later, Karimnagar DCCB and NAFSCOB chairman Ravinder Rao briefed the visiting delegation about the progress of the bank and emerging as a role model in the country. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ravinder Rao said that the KDCCB is known for transparency and good governance. He said that there was no role any politics in the functioning of DCCB and its staff. He said that the process of recruitment and promotions that are taken up in the bank are in a transparent manner.
Mr Ravinder Rao, who is also a governing council member of BIRD Lucknow, said that the Karimnagar DCCB had made rapid strides only because of teamwork, no political interference and good governance with transparency. He also enlightened the visiting delegation about the reforms introduced to transform the loss-making into a role model bank in the country by earning profits consecutively for several years and winning several national awards.
He educated the visiting delegation about the diversification of the business of the bank and PACS to reap riches and also provide services to the customers on par with any commercial banks. He also said that they had also taken up watershed programmes in Gambhiraopet mandal and improved the area of cultivation benefitting the farming community. BIRD Lucknow faculty members Rajni Pandey and Prashanth Dubey, NABARD DDB Jayaprakash, DCCB general managers B Sridhar and Md Riazuddin, PACS development centre resource person G Satyanarayana and others were also present.
