KARIMNAGAR, MAY 23, 2024: With the schools scheduled to reopen from June 12 after summer vacation, the district educational department officials are gearing up the entire machinery to ensure completion of giving face-lift and development of infrastructure to all the government schools in the district and providing all basic amenities for the students including the availability of textbooks, notebooks, school uniforms and other infrastructure facilities.
Collector Pamela Satpathy, who is according top priority for the education sector for the bright future of the younger generation, is closely monitoring the works being taken up under the Amma Adarsha patashala committees to give a face-lift to all the government schools in the district. Accordingly, the Collector visited the Rangaraopalli, Achampalli villages of Gangadhara mandal and inspected the ongoing developmental works in the government primary school and upper primary schools.
Inspecting the quality of works in various schools, she underscored the need to ensure that all the facilities such as toilets, drinking water, electricity supply, furniture and other repairs were taken up on a war-footing before the reopening of the schools. She also directed the authorities to ensure utmost importance for the quality of the works.
Later, the Collector inspected the stitching of school uniforms by the women self-help group members at Mahila Shakthi tailing centre in Rangaraopalli village of Gangadhara mandal. Directing the tailors to stitch the uniforms by taking up double-stitching which would be useful throughout the academic year, she informed them to complete the process before the reopening of the schools and ensure that the students were the uniforms from the start of academic year instead of waiting for the uniforms.
The Collector said that the district administration would bear the expenses for the thread and transportation of the uniforms to the respective schools. She appealed to the tailors to ensure that they maintain quality in stitching of uniforms as if they were stitching dresses for their own children. Additional DRDA Sunitha, DLPO Rambabu, Tahsildar Vinay Kumar, DPM Praveen, MPDO Ramu and Janardhan Reddy and others were also present.
