BPCL taking all measures to inaugurate all retail pumps within one to two months
KARIMNAGAR, MAY 03, 2024: As part of measures to strengthen the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) by taking up diversified activities, the Bharath Petroleum Corporation Limited has come forward to set up 12 retail petrol and diesel filling stations by PACS in various parts of integrated Karimnagar district.
Accordingly, the construction work and installation of state of the art machinery etc had begun at all the 12 petrol filling stations in the integrated Karimnagar district. The BPCL officials lead by B Shravan Kumar (territorial manager), Jitin George (TC), Sharanjit (Karimnagr sales manager), Adithya, Habeeb and others reviewed the progress of the filling stations with the PCAS secretaries and other officials at Karimnagar DCCB in Karimnagar town on Friday. They also assured to take all measures to inaugurate all the filling stations within one month to two months.
Mr Konduru Ravinder Rao, NAFSCOB, TSCAB and Karimnagar DCCB chairman, also joined the meeting and discussed various issues pertaining to the early opening of the retail petrol filling stations by PACS. He also took assurance from BPCL officials for the inauguration of Gambhiraopeta PACS filling station on May 25 tentatively. The Karimnagar DCCB CEO N Satyanarayana Rao and other officials of DCCB were also present.
On this occasion, the BPCL officials informed the PACS to open separate bank account and maintain an exclusive mobile phone to receive all messages pertaining to the operation of the petrol filling station. They also informed the PACS which have crossed Rs 10 crore turnover would be applicable for TDS. They also said that they would conduct special training for the staff deployed at the filling stations.
The BPCL officials said that the petrol filling stations would be fully automated with the state of art technology and equipped with solar roof-tops to generate green energy, genset, air-guage, washrooms and other amenities for the customers.
It may be recalled that Mr Ravinder Rao took several initiatives through Ministry of Cooperation to convert the existing wholesale consumer pumps of PACS into retail outlets to strengthen PACS as well as benefit the consumers in rural areas.
