
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, OCTOBER 05, 2026: Two sewing machines were donated to Government Degree College, Gambhiraopet, as part of the initiatives undertaken by the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS), Gambhiraopet. The Society was selected as a Cluster Village by KRIBHCO, and as part of this initiative, KRIBHCO provided two sewing machines to the college for skill development activities.
The programme was attended by Vesala Venkati, President of the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society Limited, Gambhiraopet; Directors Muccha Anandam, Guni Buchaiah, and Muthyala Mallareddy; the Society Secretary Sri Reddy and staff members; Manoj Kumar Reddy, State Marketing Manager, KRIBHCO; and Harish, District Manager, KRIBHCO.
Speaking on the occasion, the College Principal, Prof. V. Vijayalakshmi, stated that the sewing machines would be highly useful as part of the college’s skill development initiatives. Students would be encouraged to spend some time every day learning sewing skills, which would help them acquire a practical skill and could eventually become a source of income and economic empowerment.
The Principal further stated that V. Vani, WEC Coordinator, has been conducting a certificate course on sewing machines every year, providing students with opportunities to develop practical and employable skills.
Prof. V. Vijayalakshmi expressed her special gratitude to the President, Directors, Secretary, and staff of the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society Limited, Gambhiraopet, as well as the KRIBHCO officials, for donating the sewing machines to the college.
Faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students of the college participated in the programme.
