RAMAGUNDAM, SEPTEMBER 28, 2026: Following the recent Ganesh immersion celebrations, a large number of Ganesh idols, puja materials, and other waste were found along the banks and riverbed of the Godavari River at Anthergaon village.
To address this environmental concern, NTPC Ramagundam, under CSR, organised a cleanliness drive to restore the riverbank and promote environmental awareness.
The cleanliness campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from NTPC employees, representatives of various unions and associations, and villagers from Anthergaon and Goliwada on Monday.
As part of the initiative, dustbins were distributed to the participating villagers to encourage proper waste management and maintain cleanliness in the area.
The programme was graced by Shri Chandan Kumar Samanta, Head of Project (R&T), along with General Managers, officials from the HR Department, ETs, members of the CISF team, and local villagers.
Their active participation and support contributed to the success of the drive, reflecting a shared commitment toward environmental conservation and community welfare.
NTPC Ramagundam commissions Chlorine Dioxide Plant
NTPC Ramagundam commissioned the Chlorine Dioxide (ClO₂) Plant at the Stage-I Chlorination System on 28 September 2026. The plant was inaugurated in the gracious presence of Shri Chandan Kumar Samanta, ED (R&T), and Shri Manish Agrawal, GM (O&M), along with other senior officials of NTPC Ramagundam and Telangana.
The commissioning of the ClO₂ Plant marks an important step towards strengthening safety, environmental compliance and operational reliability at the station. It will also enhance the effectiveness of the chlorination and water treatment system.
Senior dignitaries present on the occasion included Shri G. N. Kulhade, GM (Maintenance & ADM); Shri A. K. Behra, GM (Operation & FM); Shri Bijoy Jose, GM (Project); and Shri Vijay Kumar Kanaujia, GM (TS), along with other officials.
