KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 26, 2026: An ultra-modern Karimnagar Film Society (KAFISO) auditorium is coming on the sprawling 25 guntas of land on the Karimnagar-Sircilla by-pass road in Karimnagar town at a cost of approximately Rs 4 crore.
Accordingly, the ground-breaking ceremony was performed at the site on Saturday by KAFISO advisor and former MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao, Civil Supplies Director GV Shyam Prasad Lal, BC Study Circle Director Mamidi Harikrishna and others.
The auditorium would be equipped with a Dolby sound system, a 70m screen, the latest seating arrangements and a library also. Besides, there would be guest rooms also.
On this occasion, Mr GV Shyam Prasad Lal said that the new KAFISO auditorium would emerge as a cinema research centre. The Karimnagar Film Society. Eminent writer Nelima Bhaskar and Chakradhar Rao have announced donation of Rs 50,000 for the construction of the auditorium. Local artist Colour Sathenna announced Rs 10,000.
The local municipal corporator M Rajender, Gaddi Pradeep, Padmanagar former sarpach Gaddam Sriramulu, KAFISO advisor Varala Mahesh, KAFISO president Ponnam Ravichandra and secretary K Laxman and others were also present.
