TIRUMALA, SEPTEMBER 16, 2026: In a rare feat of its kind, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu offered Pattu Vastrams to Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala for the 15th time on Tuesday evening.
Offering the silk robes is a customary presentation on behalf of the State Government in connection with the annual Brahmotsavams on the first day of the nine-day mega religious festival.
The CM took part in a brief ceremony at Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy Temple accompanied by his spouse Smt Bhuvaneshwari. The temple priests tied him a traditional ‘Parivattam’ (silk headband).
Later, he carried the sacred ‘Vastrams’ on his head in a silver plate and marched in a procession towards the main temple complex, where the CM formally handed them over to the priests inside the Sanctum Sanctorum.
After darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy inside the sanctum sanctorum, the Vedic scholars offered the CM and his entourage Vedaseervachanam at Ranganayakula Mandapam.
TTD Chairman Sri B R Naidu and the EO Sri M Ravichandra offered Theertha Prasadams to the CM of AP.
Afterwards, the CM released the 2027 New Year diary and calendars brought out by TTD.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM thanked Sri Venkateswara Swamy for giving him a rare opportunity to present silk vastrams for the 15th time. I prayed to bestow His benign blessings on the people of the State and make India become a superpower nation in the world.
Later, he lauded the services of the TTD board and mandarins in bringing several pilgrim reforms and making the Tirumala temple a role model in Temple Culture. ”There is every need to pass these values to the next generations, and I appreciate the services of TTD “, the CM maintained.
Later in the night, he took part in the procession of Pedda Sesha Vahanam. AP Ministers Sri Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, Sri N Lokesh, Sri Satya Prasad were also present.
Among others, several TTD board members and public representatives were present.
TTD Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdary and CVSO Sri Murali Krishna were present, while among the officials, the District Collector Dr Venkateswarulu, SP Sri L Subbarayudu, and several other state-level and district officials were also present.
